In November, 2008 ChAngels collected some of their lightly used books from home, and added decorated dedication plates which we placed on the inside of the front cover. We then delivered the books, approximately 50 in total, to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital for distribution in the various waiting rooms. We are excited about this project because nobody likes to be in the hospital, but having a good book to read can make a big difference.

It can be so hard to part with books! What a nice gift. Whenever we are in a waiting room, we love reading books. Unfortunately, they're often tattered or missing pages. Your books will be so enjoyed by so many people!

ChAngels, you're awsome! Giving books to the hospital was a wonderful idea! Good luck with the bake sale..I'll take $10 worth...then give the yummies to someone who would like them! The check is in the mail.

What a great idea to donate books to the Children's Hospital. I used to work there and know that those children and families will be SO happy to read your books. What a great idea! You really are angels making a change! Can't wait to hear about your next idea.

I know that the reading materials that you have provided will be appreciated by the patients while waiting for their appointments. I have been there with a patient and I know that there were barely any books or magazines available. Sometimes the wait period is long so a good book will help the time pass more quickly. Great thought! Keep up the good work.
